Building Digital Skills for the Future
The Ugandan government, in partnership with several tech companies, has launched a nationwide AI literacy program aimed at training 100,000 citizens in artificial intelligence fundamentals by 2027.

The program will be rolled out across all districts, with a focus on youth, women, and persons with disabilities.
Minister of ICT Dr. Chris Baryomunsi stated: "AI is transforming every sector of our economy. We must ensure Ugandans are not left behind."
The curriculum covers machine learning basics, data ethics, prompt engineering, and AI-powered productivity tools.
